NORTHEAST HARBOR (NEWS CENTER) -- The federal Small Business Adminstration says Mainers, whose businesses burned in a big fire in Northeast Harbor in July, will be able to get low-interest loans to rebuild.
That fire destroyed several businesses and the apartments above them. No one was injured, but 18 people were forced to find new places to live.
Three businesses were closed for at least 5 days, but two others are still closed.
Gov. John Baldacci announced the SBA approval Monday, saying the Economic Injury Disaster Loans will help the affected businesses have the chance to reopen and get back to work as quickly as possible.
